Structures Team Lead

Department: Structures
Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Aguirre & Fields is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Structures Team Lead in the Oklahoma City area. Aguirre & Fields has offices in Oklahoma City, Sugar Land, Austin, and Fort Worth specializing in civil, structural and construction engineering & inspection services for transportation and land development projects, including highways, bridges, water and wastewater structures, and individual infrastructure sites. POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a qualified team leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Oklahoma City Structures Team. You will be responsible for providing guidance and motivation and promoting innovative thinking to ensure smooth operations, effective collaboration, and employee satisfaction. You will assist in the accomplishment of Aguirre & Fields’ key initiatives. You will lead the team to support, serve, and build stronger communities to ensure client satisfaction and to make life better for everyday citizens.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide QC roles in areas of competency.
• Provide technical advice and assistance to Oklahoma City office staff and across all offices, when needed.
• Perform Project Manager duties for assigned projects.
• Perform Project Engineer duties as required.
• Facilitate weekly meetings with staff to discuss project priorities, resolve issues, and disseminate company information.
• Update monthly workload and revenue projections, communicate with Structures Group Lead and execute necessary initiatives to resolve challenges.
• Support and regularly communicate with Structures Group Lead
• Support the Community Leads and R&D groups.
• Assist Structures Group Lead for ensuring quality assurance.
• Assume other duties as directed by the Structures Group Lead.
• Support and maintain the morale, welfare, professional development, training and work-life balance of all assigned staff utilizing the Company’s Character Qualities.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, practices, rules.
• Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Character Qualities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guide, train and/or direct assigned project engineer, engineers in training, technicians and/or interns as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience designing & managing structural engineering projects in transportation is preferred, but not required
  • ODOT bridge design experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oklahoma, Texas preferred, but not required
